Planting edible plants at the Alanouwaly Salifou Sylla Centre Guinea
Alanouwaly Guinea started growing edible plants in July 2009:
Trees planted are:
Orange, coconut, mango, avocado, lemon, guava, cashew-nut, palm-nut, pineapples
Annual crops planted are:
groundnuts, beans, sweet potatoes, chilli peppers, sweetcorn
and more
Since then Alanouwaly Guinea has continued to plant the annual crops. The lack of water in dry season affects the growth of the plants. We are hoping to find partners to create organic sustainable growing projects to help local farmers improve their yields.

Cost: £96.96, raised at one school fair in 2009.
This has demonstrated that if we have more donations we can support the people of Guinea to grow more food, reduce hunger and malnutrition in children.
