We fundraised for the water tank and it is now installed with a system to have running water funnelled from the big house. During the rainy season they can wash with clean water.
A local artist hand-painted a banner and 32 T-shirts for adults and kids as well as artfully decorating the walls.
They organised an inauguration with local artists and dancers to celebrate this achievement.
Over 1 year a 2 cubicle public compost toilet with rain water was collected for local people.
The community funded their own T-shirts and the decorations as well as the wall hiding the toilets. All of the ideas, design and artwork is by local Guinean people.
They have created something so essential and unifying.
We are hoping to raise funds to finish the stalled water drilling to give the community water during the dry season too.
