Donating items to raise funds and to bring to Africa
We urgently need more working computers for the Computer learning project, desktops are particularly useful! Please get in touch if you can donate or know of any that are not used anymore!
We are always collecting 2nd-hand clothes & shoes, mobiles & small electronic items, tools and materials for crafts, anything easy to transport to Africa. We have brought from 6 suitcases to car loads of useful donated goods to people in Guinea. Alanouwaly makes little parcels so that the goods can be shared out equally.
We have appealed for bigger items in the past, but we have had to weigh up the cost of a container with the benefits it brings. Unless opportunities present themselves we are now mainly looking for smaller items we can bring on airplane, in particularl electronic items like mobile phones and laptops. These open up many possibilities to communicate and learn!
We are also selling on fairs to raise funds and raise our profile. Any good conditioned goods might help us to finance our projects.
If you can help us: get in touch.
We are based in South-East London and have limited means to collect items, items transported to us from other areas will be hugely appreciated.
